Halliwell was acquired in 2004 by Tamworth Co-operative Society (not to be confused with the giant Co-op Funeralcare group) which has been arranging funerals for more than 125 years. It is one of the last remaining, truly independent co-operatives in the UK.

As such, we have the full resources, professionalism and expertise of a highly respected organisation at our disposal. In 2016, the Society won a national Good Funeral award for its innovative bereavement care services.

In the same year, we became one of the first funeral operators in the country to sign the Fair Funerals pledge – demonstrating our commitment to providing a transparent and affordable service.
