Funeral division wins national award for groundbreaking bereavement care

Amanda Woodward, general manager of Halliwell funeral division, receives top award from former GMTV host Penny Smith.

The division, to which Halliwell belongs, has won a prestigious ‘funeral Oscar’ for its pioneering bereavement care service, beating off competition from hundreds of entries.

Amongst the flowers and epitaphs adorning the headstones at a Wolverhampton graveyard one newly inscribed memorial to a much loved brother and uncle stands out.

Members of a Heath Hayes bowling club joined forces with non-bowlers to take part in a charity competition held in memory of one of their most ardent supporters.
